Rum cake is a soft firm-textured dessert that is infused with finely chopped fruit mix, sweet dessert wine, and white rum. Do not be confused, black cake is also the name used to associate with Christmas cake. Browning is one of the main ingredients that allows the cake to get its dark brown color.
